Resident Advisor (RA)

This student staff position is an amazing opportunity to serve students, develop as a leader, and obtain many practical job skills. Being a live-in student leader provides an incredible opportunity to facilitate building connections among residents living on campus and the ability to have an impact on their experience at SSU. We are seeking students who will model the Seawolf Commitment, help build community, provide creative ways to residents to learn outside the classroom and to foster an environment of belonging.

The RA selection process begins in late October/early November with informational nights to learn more about the RA role and the application. In order to be considered as an RA, a student will need to enroll in UNIV 238, Foundations of Leadership course, for the spring semester, be in good standing within the residential community and with the university, and hold a 2.5 semester and cumulative GPA or higher. If a student has met the all of criteria, during the Spring semester they will submit their application and participate in a group interview and an individual interview.
