We are excited about your interest in living on campus. Research over the past 70-80 years demonstrates that students who live on campus for multiple years tend to be more successful. This means getting higher GPAs, finding jobs in their chosen fields, graduating on time, and incurring less debt.
Below is a brief description of how the application process works for the 2019-2020 academic year. Space is limited and therefore we can't guarantee Village, Community, or Room Type, but we will do all we can to honor your top preferences. To learn more about the options available to you, please visit our Housing Options webpage.
STEP 1 - Add Your Name to the Waitlist
STEP 2 - We Offer You a Space
When a space becomes available, we email your SSU account with an offer to live on campus. We invite you to sign the Student Housing License Agreement and pay the $300 Housing Down Payment. At this point, you will rank your Village and Room Type preferences.
STEP 3 - Receive Housing Assignment
Shortly after signing the Student Housing License Agreement and paying the $300 Housing Down Payment, we will email your housing assignment to your SSU email account.
Since space is limited, if you are not assigned to your preferred Village/Room Type, there will be information on how to submit a room change request. Please know we will do all we can to honor your top preferences but our priority is to ensure you have a space on campus. We appreciate your understanding.
